Live Search Engine has launched the Webmaster tool, a good move to gain ground on the search engine marketplace.

Its still in Beta. Got some very nice functionalities. You can add your site same way you do on Google Webmaster tools.

Some functionalities to mention are:

- Validate Robots.txt is there for you to validate your robots.txt file.

- You can also specify a sitemap for your site.

- Shows top 5 ranked pages on Live

- On the "Keywords" section you can see how different pages perform for a specified keyword. I think this is a very good functionality. This way you can figure out which pages need to be worked on for certain keywords.

- The "Top Links From" gives you 10 best performing outbound links in Live Search from your site.

-  "Top Links To" will give you best 10 links to your website among all the inbound links, in Live Search. I have noticed some of those links may be your internal pages. I think Live should consider showing external links only on that page, which makes more sense.

Overall I think this tool is great. Hopefully they would work harder delivering more traffic to websites.
