Bride in Toilet Paper Dress Gets Married in Toilet

NEW YORK

Jennifer Cannon wore a dress made of toilet paper when she was married to Doy Nichols at a public restroom in Times Square on Wednesday.

The intricately detailed dress—which looked at a glance like a regular wedding gown—was designed by Hanah Kim, winner of the 2007 Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest, sponsored by Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com. The ceremony took place at the Charmin Restrooms—temporary, free public restrooms set up for the event. As the newlyweds from Lexington, Kentucky, walked back down the aisle, family and friends threw—what else?—shredded tissue.
