If you have a website with good number of new visitors you may wanna go for it. For sites with little traffic I would suggest stick with other options. That way chances are good that you at least earn something daily.

Make Money Doing Dropship Business

What is Dropship?

In usual business environment you have a store or warehouse where you have products, and you sell from there. In dropship you don't store anything yourself. The vendor stores all the items, when you need any item you order from them and they will ship it for you to your customer or to you.

How its used

Lot of people use the dropship for selling products on EBay. Many have their own website, and sell from there.

What to watch

Most important thing in dropship is return policy. If a customer returns a product, you have to know if the dropship company will take it back or not. If they don't you will loose that money. Also look at the profit margins you are getting; compare among the dropship companies.

List of US Dropship Companies

Here is a list of companies that offer dropship. Before you sign up with them I would suggest do your research on them.

Increased Earnings by Better Ad Placement

On February 2008 I wrote an article how to improve earnings from PPC ads by better ad placement. If you happen to miss it here is the link for you http://www.cosmocentral.com/post/Earn-More-with-Better-Ad-Placement.aspx

I actually made most of those changes on my site webcosmo.com. This is a follow up writing to let you know what happened. To be honest I actually was surprised myself seeing the results. Literally my AdSense (thats what I use on that site) earnings doubled since I have made two changes.

First change I made is, I have put the ad on a nice rectangle on all the ad listing and details pages. Idea was blending the ad with the site design so it does not look like a foreign object. This improved the earnings by about 10%. This ad block was residing at the top of the page content block.

Second change I made after a week of the first change. I put an additional ad block at the bottom of the page content block on each ad listing and details pages. Reason I did this is, if a user goes to the end of the page reading through the content its the best place to have an ad block catch eyes of the visitor. That made the magic. Earnings improved a lot.

I personally prefer not to destory the look of the site by placing ads everywhere. Keeping it nice and clean is my formula. Don't put ads everywhere saying "click me, I need money". Main purpose of any website should be serving the content/service to audience. As long as you enjoy serving people money will come on its way.

How to Stop Google AdSense PSA Ads?

You may have seen Google AdSense showing PSA or public service ads on your site instead of actual ads by which you get paid. Problem with PSA ads is that you don't get paid for the clicks on them. This article is my experience with PSA ads.

This is how AdSense ads work
For sites that add AdSense it takes some time for AdSense crawlers crawl all the pages. The ads shown are determined by the page content. If a page showing ad is not on Google AdSense indexed then chances are very high they will show a PSA ad and you won't get paid for clicks on them. If the page is not indexed then they mark it for crawling. Note that Google AdSense crawlers are different then google.com crawlers.

What can you do?
Generally it takes about 1-2 days to get a site crawled. Just wait until then, you should be receiving actual ads, not PSA ads. Just remember Google is loosing money too showing all the PSA ads, so they will make best efforts showing actual ads as soon as possible.

My Experience

When I started AdSense on webcosmo.com first two days I saw a huge display of PSA ads. I realized this won't make me enough to pay certain expenses I intend to cover by the ad money. I was seriously thinking of getting rid of AdSense and use some other services. Then I decided to give it some time, without knowing its gonna go away. Things became allright after 2 days. I am reaching my goal with AdSense now. Problem with webcosmo.com was there are more then 50,000 pages. A huge number of pages are added everyday. I am sure it took some time for AdSense crawlers crawl all the pages. If you have less number of pages, you probably gonna have PSA ads for less duration compared to me.

Earn More with Better Ad Placement

Having a website is like drinking coffee these days. Anybody can have a website. With websites offering preexisting templates, cheap hosting, free blogs its easier then ever having a website.

Lot of people have websites just for fun. Many tries to earn few bucks off the site. To mention Google AdSense, Yahoo, MSN are few choices to earn money.

With pay per click ads placed on your site you get paid per click. More the clicks more you earn. So its come to the point that ads are placed in a place on your site which maximizes the click rates.

Few things to note:

- Always blend the ads with your site design. Never make it look like a foreign object. Blending ads makes your site visitors feel the ads as part of your website.

- Sometimes multiple ad blocks serve better. Then you have to consider the load time as well; you can't make the site too slow.Test the load time it before going for it.

- Experiment putting the ads in different locations until you find the best spot. Try each spot for a few days before you experiment again; so you give each spot enough time to make a decision.

Summary

Its fun earning few bucks from advertising. Real money of course come from somewhere else. I personally use Google AdSense only because they pay well. Trying the techniques mentioned above I was able to increase the earnings about 40%. Hopefully you could do the same.
