Alexa.com been around for a while now providing website statistics based on visitors and pageviews. Alexa stats are in no way near accurate, just an approximate view. To make things worse it can be easily manipulated using different techniques. I have written another article how Alexa Rank can be manipulated. But we gonna show you a way to get some traffic from Alexa.

There used to be two ways to get traffic from Alexa:

1. Writing reviews on a site at Alexa
2. Related Link Suggestion

Alexa took off the review feature from their site, so you are left with Related Link Suggestion option.

Traffic from Related Link Suggestion at Alexa:

I have used this technique, it gets me about 100 visitors per month. Which is 1200 visitors per year. Related link suggestion is a one time thing you have to. After you do that you can forget about it, and keep getting traffic. Thats the beauty of it.

How to Suggest Related Link at Alexa?

Steps to suggest related link are:

• First find the sites that are related to your website.
• Go to alexa.com, enter the url of the site to get to the Traffic Details page.
• From the left side menu click on “Edit Site Info” under “Related Links“. That will take you to the “Site Information Edito” page.
• Click on the “Related Link Suggestion Box” link.
• At the bottom of the “Related Link Suggestion Box” page enter your website url, email address and click on submit. An email will be dispatched to you for activating the request.
• Check your email and click on the link on email to activate the request.
• Repeat the process for other sites.

Generally it takes a day or two for Alexa people approve your related link suggestion. I would suggest not to waste your time suggesting your site for unrelated sites. Apparently they manually check each suggestion.
