WASHINGTON
A Washington has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for stealing more than 1,600 pairs of panties, bras and other women’s undergarments, from laundry rooms.
24-year-old Garth Flaherty pleaded guilty to the thefts in an agreement with prosecutors. Early last year, police received reports of panty thefts around the Washington State University campus.
Flaherty was arrested in March at an apartment complex laundry room. Police said they found enough underwear in his bedroom to fill five garbage bags.
